Well, there has been many errors currently on this server and a COMPLETE CODE RE-WRITE is needed

Unfortunately, that mean it's going to be even longer before the site is completed

However, the good news now is that some of the main systems have been re-written. Im hoping Everything will be done by the end of September 2007

I'm sorry about the long wait and I know users to the site has decreased rapidly BUT it will return and there will be stuff on here that will make you wanna visit more often

For example, there will be several versions of the website with different content. The main www.jasetaylor.co.uk will be focused on tricking, martial arts etc, but there will be subdomains such as photoshop.jasetaylor.co.uk focused purely on photoshop work etc BUT THIS IS STILL IN THE PLANNING STAGES AND IS NOT DEFINATE

The good news is however that once my new code is finished, it will be extremely simple to create new websites so changes, updates and fixes will happen extremely easily and quickly

Some features to look forward to on this site for now however = dynamic photogalleries so i can create multiple albums on different topics (ie album for photoshop work, album for tricking (which then contain more albums on topics or dates) etc) and this will also appear on the video gallery but a nice new feature to the video gallery is the ability to watch the video live without downloading it . It will be much lower quality but it saves you from downloading the entire video before watching it

Lots of new and big things are coming to make this site even more interesting so please keep an eye out

P.S, login and sign up will be cancelled for the time being.
There is an error in the user system that I do not know the root of. Rather than fix it, i may aswell just finish the new version

2 weeks and counting

In 2 weeks time, I will finish my second year at University so this means one thing. LOTS OF FREE TIME. after the 16th May 2007, You'll see significant changes to the website.

All the updates I've promised will be finalised and full tested and then uploaded

This website has been in production over a year now. It surprised me how long i've worked on it but this includes about 3 times that i've actually restarted.

But in 2 weeks time, I'll be working on the website 24/7 and you'll see the return of the guestbook, tricks dictionary etc

I'm sorry the updates are taking so long but there's been quite a few problems lately thats prevented me from being able to get onto my computer.

Hopefully, it'll change soon so that I can devote more time to the site and get everything up and running

Being away from the site for so long though has caused me to forget a few a things so i need to get to grips again at how i was arranging everything

The only problem is that my photo gallery, videos, trickstionary, tutorials etc are still offline

Im currently working hard on these so they will be up soon

Just so you all know, version 3 of the site is still being worked on. It's taking a really long time unfortunately to what I originally thought

The login system is currently being worked on but from 4th August, i won't be able to work on it for 2 weeks because I'm going on holiday so what I'm trying to do is get the essential site done before i go and then work on the member area and other features when I get back

I am working on it and it will come out soon

This is just an update on the progress of the site


sooooooooo. things didn't go as planned

The new video will be out in the first week of July because i basically have not had enough time to film anything

I'm having my tonsils out on the 12th June so I'm going to be pretty much sitting down all the time for a couple of weeks but this gives me time to work on the site and film some fillers for the video

I've already written 2,000 lines of code for the website to give increased security and more features.
for example, I'm now using ini and xml files which should help the database usage

Also, a new Adobe Acrobat PDF file generator is being tested in order to make printer friendly pages for the tutorials and dictionary sections.

I think when the new version of the site is released, you will all be pleasantly surprised

New site will be bigger and better than ever, it's just that it will be a little delayed

I HATE SPAM

. now i got that off my chest. I've received no less than 100 spam emails just from my site (because their idiot spam bots think it's a guestbook) but also near a further 40 spam messages for my guestbook. THIS WAS OVER A PERIOD OF 4 DAYS

Anyways, down to the real news
One more week of exams left and by 3rd of June, i'll be back to work on this site then.

one thing i have to fix though, the recent numerous amount of spam is killing my inbox so in future, u may have to do the thing where it says "enter the letters u see in the image" thing. this is so spam bots can't post but to avoid this, u can login.

anyways, a new video is planned but with the crap weather lately and loads of exams, i've not filmed much

NEW VIDEO

yes. Due to the high demand of requests. I've decided to release a video early. I was going to release one at the end of the month but loads of emails and messages on MYSPACE.com have caused me to put again a training video.

Just a quick message

Re-writing of the site is coming very smoothly. There have been a few problems which is expected when writing code but there will be a lot more features on the redesign of the site

not only will the updates be made that i mentioned in the last post but i've also now learned something called mod_rewrite. this is code before the website page even loads that makes really small address bar urls

for example, when the site is uploaded, new urls such as
jasetaylor.co.uk/forum/
jasetaylor.co.uk/guestbook/
etc instead of the huge long ones you see in the address bar
Much easier to remember links then

Even though the site is going to technically be more efficient, the amount of extra new features will mean the site won't load any faster but there will be a lot of visual differences including an entire new layout etc.

also planned, is sections not just on tricking but new sections on PHP, HTML, CSS, APACHE HTACCESS etc tutorials and examples will be made as well as video editing tutorials etc making sure that this will be one of tge biggest tricking resources on the net which will not only include the physical side, but also help on the internet side of making urself a website and making videos with many useful tips

as u can see i have a lot of work to do so hopefully, ill get the bulk done asap

This site is gonna be huge and useful with a lot of features coming soon
